Getting to know Bogota

Introduction:

Bogota is the main city of Colombia, Bogota have 7 millions of habitants, most of the foreign people come here to Bogota because it have a lot of museums, churches, and it also have a lot of history. Bogota was founded by Jonzalo Jimenez de Quesada in 1538, at first it was called Santa fe de Bogota then it was called Bogota, in Bogota many historical aspects happen like the independence cry, also in here happen the Bogotazo and many other important historical aspects of the country. In Bogota there is a lot of opportunities so people of all the country come Bogota to get a job.

IMPORTANT PLACES OF BOGOTA

Plaza de las nieves: this a important place here in Bogota, it is located in the down town

Teatro colon: it is one of the most beautiful theaters in Bogotá it is one pf the oldest here in Bogota

Quinta de bolivar: this was the house of Simon Bolivar when he live here in Bogotá, now it is a museum where you can go and visit to know the history of Simon Bolivar

Museo del 20 de Julio: this was the house of a Spanish person, in here occurs the independence cry so this place is so important for Bogotá and for Colombia.

Traditional games: In Bogota the most important traditonal game is Tejo.
It consist in to trhow a yew and you have to explode some gunpowder, if it explolode
